Akros U.S. AI Optical Communication and Network Infrastructure Index

The index tracks U.S.-listed companies most closely linked to the “AI Optical Communication and Network Infrastructure” theme. The eligible universe must meet minimum size and liquidity screens (market cap of at least $2B and 3-month average daily trading value of at least $1M) and fall under AICS code 334 (Computer and Electronic Product Manufacturing). Constituents are selected using Akros's proprietary NEXUS thematic analysis engine, which identifies and ranks companies by thematic relevance. The index then applies a sigmoid rank-based weighting scheme that progressively increases allocations to higher-ranked names, subject to a 25% maximum weight cap and a 2% minimum weight floor. The index is rebalanced quarterly, with ad-hoc rebalancing triggered by weight-limit breaches and significant new listings.
