Recent Key Events
Description
The index provides targeted access to the U.S. space industry by selecting 10 companies across the upstream segment (designing and manufacturing rockets, satellites, and spacecraft) and the downstream segment (delivering services through existing space infrastructure). The eligible universe comprises NYSE and NASDAQ common stocks with a market capitalisation of at least $500 million and 3-month average daily trading value of at least $1 million, classified under AICS sectors including Aerospace Product and Parts Manufacturing, Satellite Telecommunications, Architectural and Engineering Services, and Space Research and Technology. Constituents are identified using Akros's proprietary NEXUS thematic engine and ranked by thematic relevance to each segment. A tiered weighting scheme assigns 25% to the top upstream company, 15% each to the next three upstream names, 7% each to the top three downstream names, and 3% each to three additional upstream names. The index is rebalanced quarterly.
